Fees for applications for permission to enter or disturb Coal Authority mining interests
Effective from 1st October 2018, all fees are inclusive of VAT
Fees are based upon the following:- the number of boreholes, the area of application or the number of mine entries to be investigated and/or treated.
The minimum fee for any application will be £111.00.
- Area of the application (any number of shafts/adits within this area are included within the area fee). £111.00 per 0.1 hectare (1000 m2) up to a maximum of £2775.00 (for 2.5 ha or above).
- Initial investigation purposes only. £111.00 for up to two boreholes, £55.50 per borehole thereafter. Should treatment then prove necessary, a further application would be needed to cover the whole treatment area at £111.00 per 0.1 hectare, however, the initial application fee would be deducted from this.
- Shaft and adit investigation/treatment will be charged at £111.00 each (when not included within the above).
